Behind the Lens: Shooting the Lidl GB Christmas 2025 Brochure

The Lidl GB Christmas brochure is always one of the standout projects of the year. This year I had the pleasure of shooting a large part of the 2025 festive range — and it's the kind of work that reminds you why you got into this.

Christmas food photography is its own discipline. It's not enough for the food to look good. It needs to feel like something — warmth, celebration, the specific anticipation of a table that's been properly thought about. You're not just shooting a turkey. You're shooting the centrepiece of someone's Christmas Day.

Lidl's range is wide and ambitious, which means the challenge is consistency as much as quality. Premium feel across everything from the main event to desserts and cocktails, without any single shot feeling like it's trying too hard. Light, texture, steam, colour — every detail compounds. Get one wrong and the whole thing loses its atmosphere.

Huge thanks to Lidl GB and the 7C3 team for the trust and the collaboration, and to the brilliant crew who shaped every frame — Holly Cowgill on food styling, Morag Farquhar on props, Anisha Panchasara and Helen Richardson on creative, Vicki Foster guiding things from the Lidl side, Rosie Clanford, Laura Siddall and Lisa Jestico keeping the client and product side moving, Federica Cerniglia on assist, and Richard Sinclair and Trish Lynch at Warehouse Studio for keeping the space running perfectly.

Proud of what we made. Watch this space as it rolls out for Christmas 2025.
